Dr. Corey's Shrimp Dip for Low Carb Lifestyles
It is no secret that I am a proponent of Low Carbohydrate/Ketogenic/Atkin's based diets. High carbohydrate/low fat diets are a dismal failure nutritionally, biochemically and physiologically. I am not going to get into the ins and outs of Low Carb diets. If you want the hard core research, read the books, Life Without Bread, by Allen an Lutz and The Paleo Diet by L. Cordain.
That being said. I would love to share with you a great recipe for shrimp dip that fits Low Carb lifestyles.
In a large mixing bowl add: 2 bricks of Philadelphia Cream Cheese.
12 oz. of real sour cream.
1 Tbsp. of Worshtershire Sauce.
2 tsp. of garlic salt.
1 can of medium devined shrimp.
Mix up the ingredients either with a fork until blended together or use an electric mixer.
The consistency should be thick and chunky.
To the mixture add 3 to 4 chopped scallions, stir in to the mix with a fork.
Next, add a half a pound of fresh (preferably organic/natural) cocktail shrimp. Again mix in with a fork.
Serve with pork rinds, sliced vegetables, and even dehydrated tomato slices.
This is a wonderful recipe that works well for any occasion.
Enjoy.
Love, Light & Laughter
Dr. Corey
